Do I have to pay to be on Valaku?
No. Your directory listing is free and there's no commission on requests from the concierge. The website is a separate, optional, paid service: USD 500 setup + Basic plan USD 49/month or Grow USD 99/month. For now we don't offer websites or plans to moving companies.
Why does my business already have a listing if I never signed up?
We create listings from public information about businesses with an active license or registration in Miami-Dade (DBPR, FDACS, Tax Collector, IRS and Sunbiz). An unclaimed listing only shows that data and may be incomplete. You can claim it for free or ask us to remove it.
What do I need for the "Verified on Valaku" badge?
An active license or registration if your trade requires one (or an active Sunbiz company if it doesn't), no disciplinary actions published in the last 3 years, an active Sunbiz company if you operate as one, and a claimed listing.
Can I pay to get the badge or to show up first?
The badge isn't for sale. Every provider who meets the criteria gets it. Paid featured listings always carry a visible "Sponsored" label, so customers know.
My trade doesn't need a state license. Can I join?
Yes. In that case we check that your company is active on Sunbiz.
How many customers will I get?
We can't promise a number. Valaku is new, and requests depend on your trade, your area and the season. What we do is show your license and your listing in Spanish and English to people looking for your service, and send you requests with no commission.
Does Valaku do the work or collect payment for me?
No. The customer contacts you and hires you directly. Price, contract and payment are between you and the customer.
How much is the website?
Setup is a one-time payment of USD 500. Then you choose the Basic plan (USD 49 a month) or Grow (USD 99 a month, which includes 1 new page per month). No plan includes changes: they're quoted separately based on the work involved.
Can I cancel my plan?
Yes. Plans are month to month: you can cancel whenever you want, and the service continues until the end of the period you already paid for. No plan includes changes: each change is quoted separately.
Is the website mine?
Yes. The content and the domain stay in your name. The design and code become yours once the website is paid in full.
Will you get me to the top of Google or ChatGPT?
Nobody can guarantee that: Google says you can't pay for a better local ranking. What we build is a fast, bilingual website with clear business details and structured data, which is what Google and AI search tools ask for.
What happens if a customer complains about my work?
We let you know and give you time to respond. If the complaints are confirmed (for example, taking payment without doing the work or working without a required license), we may remove the listing and the badge.
